You know... the ones Liam promised us after putting up 1 tune out of the whole tape we got? That being the dodgy and questionable mixed down version of Dr. Zupan. The rest were a nice plus as extra tracks we didn't have or ever hear but now I wonder... Liam did those mixes get lost in the dust bin or are we going to actually get to hear more tracks you said you were going to put up?

Demo Trigger?

How about the rest of the tunes from the tape we got? Manic would be wicked as well so as to do away with natural aging on the tape rip we got 8-)

Or how about.. the actual tracks sent to XL on the demo tape?

Maybe both We Eat Rhythm tracks..

Hell why not dig up the second mix done for The Time Frequency that you wanted people to hear instead of the mix that got chosen, I know you have it.

I know many people would love to throw down track names on this.. Titan, etc, etc... but before people get carried away.. please don't ask for Warning or things like that... Warning is already going to be on a soundtrack, and I think working from the start of their career and up is alot better in my honest opinion. Working from the start of their music before What Evil Lurks, up through AONO is fine. But anything after AONO isn't necessary as it's only been 2 years.. alot can happen with tracks that young in comparison to track over 15 years old 8-)

Yeah , just think about Back to school which was only an intro from years ago ;-)

But Trigger is something most of the fans wanna hear for sure.
Same goes for Nuclear.

Indeed.

There's so much from the far past up through AONO fans want to hear, and Liam himself has said "i'll put it up" but we've heard that all before eh?

he probably has read this or will at some point and think "what a laugh"

i just hope he can end up turning into a man of his word rather than continue with the countless contests that never happen, mixes never making the light of day after promises to just give them out for the sake of giving them out

ever thought liam may not own the copyright on most of the tunes he did wile with XL,
as he isnt with them anymore maybe he just cant put up any more?

if that's the case, xl own the copyright on the origanal demo he sent them
not liam.
there's a lot of bullshit in the music bizz and its not in xl's interest to let out on demos that would publicize an artist that isnt even on there label an more.
think about it from a business point of view

after all xl tried to sue me not liam
for your sake i hope im wrong, but if i want to hear unreleased tunes i just have to go round one of my other friends, who was going to put up his tape or rather cd but after all the shit i got he put it back away for good

oh i know the music biz as well. if he truly made sure to have control of his music then he owns some rights to everything he's done. but for now liam is still with xl records, dont ask how i know.. i just do.. but you could be right keane.. he could be leaving and moving to his own label..

that could be true, i just hope he remembers the music biz doesnt give out too many chances for rainy day people. people like the beatles and pink floyd can still put out a release now and again and people flock to it because they are bands who've transcended the generational gaps across the entire planet for well over 30-40 years. prodigy have been around barely over 15 and the only thing the masses remember about them, outside of europe mostly the uk, is the occasional hint of something about a firestarter. i do imagine liam will be doing stuff for some time, i just wonder when it will be that we all realise we're supporting something thats no longer relevant. right now i'd like to think they are, and i'm hoping the best for this next album not just for my ears but for their career. when you think about it prodigy came about just after acid house was no longer the biggest thing. boasting on hardcore with his sampled breakbeats he pushed himself to the top of the rave scene. since then it's been the use of break after break for him. after over 15 years of prodigy history i've taken the time to stop and think about them and i've begun to wonder just how far can liam push the prodigy name before they're shelved. quite literally they've went from the rave to an experimental phase mixing all sorts of styles together , then to the big beat era which quite literally focused on liam's key ingredient for success in the rave (breakbeats).. and then there was nothingness.. quite literally because at that point there was nothing left for bands like that.. most of them went back underground or shifted off to nu skool breaks or other styles never to be given as much attention publicly as they were given during the 96-98 period. since then liam was left with a "break" while he went dj'ing spawning an album that is hailed for success but strangely enough is also shunned for it's failure.. it's a mixed community on the album.. then we get a single 4 years after that when liam was pushed into the studio by the label.. since he had nothing to step onto after the crash of big beat he gave us what he thought was the best he could .. a rehash of big beat.. it sold nicely but again.. mixed community on the prodigy name for it.. then we got aono.. some loved it.. others hated it.. and as much as i love and respect their music, it was one of the worst albums for 2004 making their album title a parody in itself becoming both outnumbered and outgunned and selling only nicely in europe and again mostly in the uk quite simply due to their name and not based on product quality. places like the US dont like to promote things that have no chance of being what the music bizness likes to think of as the "next big thing". aono simply lacked the ability to overrun all the music in the US at the time due to several facts.. 1) the general masses were through with the dance and electronic scene.. though it still resides in the underground people werent interested in it right then.. and 2) had the album been massively promoted, not many people would have remembered them not to mention be able to put 2 and 2 together on this being the same prodigy that released firestarter.. the albm should have simply been a hello message to their fans who were still around rather than a big comeback album that didnt even ripple the water across the world. i was happy to see their greatest hits album and it was in the agreement with their label to do so on releasing it as number 5 on the album list.. but now sits number 6 in the making and i just hope liam has some extreme cleverness to move beyond the rave, an experimental phase, big beat, a dj'ing phase, a rehashed big beat single, another experimental phase, and then a greatest hits album or as i like to call albums of that nature "remember us?" albums. as of right now nothing is massive on the radio, and the closest thing is looking to be drum n bass if they can get the chance to break out of the underground, but even they are looking to collapse like big beat from a certain standpoint. i guess through all this ranting lol i just wonder.. how many genres can liam work through before he's run out of steam to run on.. there are only so many genres out there and almost every year a new one is made up for no reason other than a simple change so minute nobody but the smallest of communities even notices.. i really see this chance of liam starting his own label as him dying down and looking to work on the other end of the bizness rather than the side he's on now. i just hope it doesnt come that soon.
