I'd say basically the second half of AONO - just about everything sucks.
Shoot Down is an abomination IMHO, and Pheonix wasn't even a track - more like Liam adding beats to some old 60s song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYeLKzhKFkg
That's like something I'd expect from Daft Punk - not Prodigy
Medusa's Path/Under my Wheels/The Way it is all sound like some unfinished beats that he just threw on there as filler.
It's too bad too, because the first half had some really awesome singles - Girls, Memphis Bells, Spitfire, etc.

Btw, I like Phoenix.. haven't heard original 'Love Buzz' till now, like what Liam did to it..

first half of AONO is good, all the way up to Action Radar (including) after that track things start to stink finishing with the worst prodigy track EVER: The Way It Is. That track is pretty pointless

the original version maybe...that was pretty boring. But he got it right with the live edit....what a tune!
A lot of the aono tunes are quite minimal; the idea is great but the workout is too thin. These live mixes just added a lot of flavour.

I had loads of good walks as a paperboy with The Way It Is... To me, it's one of the funkiest tracks from Prodigy. It's got that sampling/beat and stealing shit written all over it. Not overdone like Phoenix... Now THAT was a fucking lazy move. The Way It Is, to me, is a great dancefloor interpretation of a classic track! No fucking way that TWII is the WORST track ever. But yeah, it could be a little more polished... but less than for instance Who You're Foolin', Phoenix or First Warning. Those are repetitive and unfinished, empty and boring as fuck.

we all got used to the big pumpin beats from prodigy.so hearing the way it is and pheonix came as a shock.they are good tracks in their own right, but not something you would expect from liam to release.
i wonder how the album would have sounded like, with the exact tracks, but without reason being used.how would they have sounded?

from what I understand he said, Reason was more like a Notepad to Liam
he had a good idea, had a laptop with him, so wrote it down thinking: "humm that should make a good tune"
then he came back in the studio, take back his laptop notes, write it back into Protools (in a more detailed way)
from what I think none of the tracks on AONO had *direct* elements from Reason, am I right?
