Guys, about this Warning being on the album business...

Liam - August 2006

Quote:
"None of the tracks you’ve heard so far are going to be on the album!”

Warning is from 2004, and the newer Warning was from 2005, both before this interview so there's your answer...

I think it's a great shame Liam never played Hurrican Heatwave again. I mean, even if he's not gonna release it on the album why not play it live a bit more and let it develop like Warning did? Huge shame that...

As for the Warriors Dance not holding up after repeat listens talk. I've been listening to Warriors Dance ever since Bham MP3 on an almost daily basis and it never gets old. Absolutely brilliant track which I sincerely hope will be on the album.

Warning is a good track, not as good as Warriors Dance but a good track. Keith makes Warning for me. The Smokin' Aces one just lacked, it wasn't good both in terms of missing Keith and the production. Here on this live video it is quite sensational. Kudos to Prodigy for giving these nuggets to the fans while we await the album...

warriors dance is to slow and waaay to repetitive to be a top prodigy track. i honestly see nothing much setting it apart from an average rave song (and those days are definitely over..)

warning sounds aggressive enough for the prodigy, and this video shows just that perfectly.

it all depends on opinion, i learned somthing at my first gig:

Ravers To The Left
Rockers To The Right

thats the two type of fans for prodigy, and depending on what u are will depend on what tracks you prefer so its all down to opinion

i'm surely about all 2 parts of the prodigy....i'm raver and rocker.....i think warrios dance isn't good also because,as i already said,it's got a sound already heard and too cheesy. No good is a great rave track!that's another mastertune, that's a good rave track.WD is only,by my side, a way to try something old,but in a cheesy and pop direction.

yes,but what i mean is that it isn't so nostalgic as old tunes can be,as no good or wind it up or whatever else.it's for this that i think taht tracks aswarning and especially world's on fire are more matures and projected forward. And when i say "already heard" it's not for the sound, but for the melody.you know?

still fucking fresh to hear the prodigy being able to do that old magic again you know? And hearing that intro, it sounds gorgious.

I love the rave influence in worlds on fire and now in warriors dance. But Warning live takes them both down. Shame the studio version misses the bass and the rides and the keith.

Wasn´t there a WARNING topic the last days here ?

Why this discussion again about warning? I hope a non-instrumental version will be on new album or as b-side on first single for the new album. I prefer a good old tune more than a new one, wich I really don´t like.

But I bet, if it will be released, it´s just the instrumental version we all know PLUS Keith´s vocals. No extra drums from the Live set, no extra riffs, maybe some patterns of the structure will be changed - that´s it. It will be done as usual: Live is different to the studio version everytime.

I think that´s a problem where a lot of people will be disappointed about the comin´ Live and the album version, cos the REAL energy you only will experience LIVE.

Concerning Warning: Maybe it will be a tune called "Second Warning" and Prodigy starts doin´ a Warning project like the Chemical Brothers do with Electronic Battle Weapon ????

... umpf, I´m dreamin too much....

Still wondering, how many people here change their opinion about Warriors Dance from positive to negative.... ???

As I said before, Warriors Dance for me isn´t a prodigy track, cos it´s not new, it´s not frsh, it doesn´t contain typical prodigy elements and I hate those female sample melody.... :(

i wouldn't mind having "Warning" Full Vocal Mix in some form... they could beef up "First Warning" with a bit of remastering. maybe some new edits.

if it was on the album, awesome....
or as a b-side to the first new single... even better!

i think the full vocal version deserves some type of release because "First Warning" just feels empty. It's an awesome track, but just missing something to send it over the edge.

if Liam threw it on the new album for the fuck of it, i wouldn't shit on him for it.

bring it!

(or like i always say, we can hope for a farewell cut track, rarities collection when they decide to retire. would be a wicked send off. all the tunes we wanted them to release on one CD.)

or maybe a live DVD with "Warning" on it in all its glorious-ness.

from the looks of the new live vids, would be cool to put out something.

I can't believe you're gonna quote Liam and take that as gospel :rofl1:

yeah I was thinking of doing a comment on that too

Liam was looking for what's working good live (to make the album). maybe he still love it and he see the track's working great (even better than some classics), so he decided, "hey let's put it on after all"

hey I got an idea
if Liam really wasn't thinking of putting Warning on the album's tracklist, I think it could make a very cool hidden track at the end. like NNNN at the end of Flint's album. what do you think of that guys?? :?: (except people who hate it like fuck)

whatever which one it happens to be, a hidden track (maybe one of the names we knew before 2008) would be ace 8-)

I mean, what satisfies my in term of albums is at least 60 minutes and 11-12 tracks

a weakness of Fat of the Land was its shortness :!:

a hidden track would represent a bonus over that, the cherry on the Sundae
