yeah, i played half life 2 before the first one. i just couldnt get into it, it didnt interest me or grab my attention. the same happened with bioshock aswell, loads of people love that but i personally don't get it. ah well!

I love the Physics engine in all their games and the interaction. The eery feeling you get when your playing HL2, Its amazing. Oh and not to mention the story is top notch

hmm well when i got halo the first one when i got my first xbox i did complete it then sold my xbox cuz to be honest the xbox was a pile of crap for games in my opinion as i was more a gamecube/ps2 fan but after sony bullshitting about graphics at the 05 E3 i never bothered getting a ps3 so i got a 360 elite but once again i'll be buying a ps3 as im a hardcore GT fan

never bothered with halo 2, i played it with mates in my old residentual school at nights but there was fuck all else to do, and we only did multiplayer.

and i got a loan of halo 3 and just thought nah i had not played halo in a year and when i played this, sure the graphics were nice but the gameplay wasn't my stuff, i completed it in one night and i hate games like that, so i'd rather have half life,

half lifes brung so many different things such as portal, team fortress, counterstrike source, and gmod etc, and in my opinion thats much better than a game u complete in one day when ure not even into halo

Why do all the games have to be compared, why is it a fucking race of 'what's 'the best'? It's like comparing dicks. It makes no sense... what if I say I don't like both games? Am I a cunt now? I love the Half Life series more than any other shooter but I do also enjoy Halo 1 and 3.

Which of these two games is horrible shit then?

My standard is Super Metroid, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 4 and Condemned. To me, nothing was better compared to them at the time they were released, and after them. Does that mean I have a low standard because they are dated games? Do I have a high standard and no games can live up that expectation? Who decides the standard?

To me there is no common 'best game'. One man's trash can easily be another man's treasure. If anyone told me to buy either Halo 3 or Halflife 2 and I did, I'd be pissed off.
