Which of these two games is horrible shit then?

Based around an objective quantification of subjective experiences.. by comparing the numbers of people who preferred Half Life 2 over Halo 3.... Half Life 2 is the winner   with Halo 3 being a mediocre game at best.

Does that mean I have a low standard because they are dated games?

I dont really care.

To me there is no common 'best game'.

I had no idea people on this thread were providing anything but their own opinions! Wha? This is no useless dick waving contest... it's just people sharing opinions...

If anyone told me to buy either Halo 3 or Halflife 2 and I did, I'd be pissed off.

So you have absolutely no consideration for people's views and opinions then? ;) If someone on the street points that "dog poo" is indeed dog poo... do you have to allways sniff it out first? Maybe it's horseshit!

Well, seeing as I've never played Halo in any of it's forms, but played and completed all variations of HL including all the original PC releases (HL, OF, BS) on all difficulty settings, a good chunk of the fan-created add-on packs like They Live and Darkstar and many, many single levels, as well as HL2 and all it's Episodes, not forgetting the PS2 version, I'm gonna have to vote for HL...

The reason I posted this is because all of my friends, and infact, everyone here in fucking america are up to their necks in Halo. Im soo sick of it, If I ask any of my friends if they have played Half Life, they say "whats Half Life?" Mayebe its because most of you who r replying to this are from Europe. Here in america, everyone brags about how awesome halo is, it fuckin sux balls!!! and when i ask my friends to just try Half Life, they refuse. for fux sake they have halo competitions in america that are FUCKIN televised. WTF!!!!!!!! thats all i gotta say. sorry im kinda pissed. lolz

I love Half-Life.
Grew up with the shit man.

I remember those nights where my dad just slammed the door open and tell me to get into fucking bed to go sleep, because I was fucking addicted.
Half-Life 1 took me a while to complete as I was just a kid (I didn't even know I could walk silently past that monster pit after years I completed it, I remember I just jumped all the way through it ).

When I completed it I was realy fucking happy like the first time I completed Mario 64.

I was the king baby.

I'm obsessed with the story too, it's fucking good, and I'm greedy to know more about it.
The waiting is on Episode three.

I hope we're gonna see that fucking Combine Overworld finally now.
And beat the crap out of every single one.

I'll guaranteee to you you now that I'll suck big balls. I haven't played online competatively in about 2 years, and that was Q3. But I'm up for it, I may surprise myself..

I always prefer the single player versions of games, it's probably why it takes me twice as long to complete games than it should, I like looking around and seeing if you can do things different ways.

Wow man Im just like you, I love to play single player games, and really enjoy them. I go around and discover everything, and check out the scenery. I take forever to finish games, but I find every detail. And I hate just running through levels, just to finish them. I think that if you do that, then there is no point in buying the game.
