i think it's a good exmperiment, but the album version(shoot down) is absolutely better than guns(rough mix),it's more mature and less messy.

.....tastes,but also if it's a problem of taste,i think that shoot down is better, also because it's more maturecand less messy, you can't deny this fact.
Rough mix is a total mess of sounds,no conclusion.

Because Rough mix is just live recording from Liam's home studio chamber. Imagine this one as complete song, mixed in pro tool, tweaked, mastered...

Nah i agree, Shoot Down is produced much better.
The rough mix and trigger sounds too industrial to flow as well as shoot down.

it isn't about the live recording,it's a problem of sound and melody and i think shoot down production is better.

well tph, i like the both of them u see, i love the rawness of guns but the vocals are better in shootdown, if we had it like in the middle, because shootdown bearly has any trigger elements in it, and guns has more like the violins etc, i'd love a combination of both, its 50 50 for me.
you have to judge this in a weird way because its like breathe, breathe is an amazing song but i've just heard it so many times that i don't like it that much anymore, its always the track i skip when listening to live gigs

I like all versions of this track but Guns rocked. Would have loved to have heard it in fully mastered glory! And the violin lines Cogglesz mentioned were used better in Guns than in Shoot Down.
