Every time I buy a Radiohead album, I have a moment where I say to myself, "Maybe this is the one that will suck." But it never does. I wonder if it's even possible for them to be bad on record.

It belittles Radiohead to describe their music as having "hooks." Their music talks to you, in a real way. It can take you down a quiet street before it drops a beautiful musical bomb on you. It can build to where you think the whole thing will crumble beneath its own weight -- and then Thom Yorke will sing some melody that just cuts your heart out of your chest. There's a point on the album Kid A where I start feeling claustrophobic, stuck in a barbed-wire jungle -- and then I suddenly fall out and I'm sitting by a pool with birds singing. Radiohead can do all of these things in a moment, and it drives me fucking crazy.

That was written by Dave Matthews and it kinda sums up my thread or what i wanted to say....

For the past 3 years i honestly havent been listening to anything but Radiohead and nothing has ever hooked me as much as they do...sometimes i get these weird imaginations that they are gods in disguise?

I know it sounds weird but theres something about their songs that ''haunts you'' u just wanna listen and listen and sing along and it gives u this shiver down ur spine....i know the lyrics to more than 70 of their songs believe it or not and yet none of their album really sucks, im mostly into their weird, dark and experimental albums like Kid A, Amesiac, and Hail to the thief.

Anyone else a fan or agrees with anything i said?

Most of you would listen to one of their songs and say WTF IS THIS, it happened to me before...but then i dont know how it completely changed me as a person, changed the way i think....sometimes their music makes me extremely happy and other times i think that im trapped or lost...or it takes you to another world....

Ive talked too much...but i had to let this out of my chest.

Kid A is an absolute masterpiece - and I agree, they have never let me down either, their first album is shit though - but that does not matter when everything else is perfection.

I have no favorite album, but I'm sure I really don't like Pablo Honey.

The rest are all my favorite albums. All albums, alongside Prodigy and some other great artists, my most played albums. On a musical level, Radiohead means a lot to me, maybe the most. I'm still discovering the music.

i love:
Amnesiac
Hail to The Thief
In Rainbows
Kid A
been listening to these albums lately like 3 times a week. im a bit low and meloncolic over the last few months, and imo these albums fits in that category (if theres such thing).

Paranoid Android is a masterpiece, but im a bit sick of it (like im with FOTL) after listening to it for so many years

Indeed, Kid A was revolutionary

Check this out if you havent yet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hcs8wCCyIo
Comes in 6 parts but its really worth watching since your a fan of Kid A, it shows you how they made the songs on it...what inspired them, and the difficulties theyre been through.

Thats'a amzing!

your going to love it btw, because if Prodigy were about making you jump and sweat and make ur ears buzz for days, then radiohead are quiet the opposite...yorke's vocals are going to haunt you and youll keep your mouth open the whole show because their live show is something out of this world

I listened a bit to Radiohead (listened to In Rainbows and OK Computer, actually), see what it's like, and found one track I love: 15 Steps. but that was pretty about it

now I saw this thread, which tempted me to listen to some again, I found another track I love: Pyramid Song. but that's still it

wished I was hooked a bit more, seems like it's some very good music and you guys love it, but I just don't hook too much :?

good ideas but the musicality isn't always attractive to my hears, and I don't like the fact it's centered around one vocalist (which is common to too many bands). sounds too similar to my ears. I love Prodigy and Chemical Brothers and (now since not long ago) Massive Attack (for example), because we hear different voices, but I don't like hearing one voice all over one album, it annoys me after some time. that may be another reason why I don't hook

felt like leaving my comment, whatcha think?
