One of my favourites is the Final Fantasy 7 soundtrack, a true classic in gaming.
Another contender is the Command & Conquer: Red Alert soundtrack

That's easy. Donkey Kong Country has a beautiful soundtrack. Super Mario RPG comes in a close second though.

Frank Klepacki composed the music in the C&C series.
On that note, check out http://www.zebox.com/projectx/ for the remixed Megaman 2 & 3 soundtracks. Good tuneage.
On looking at the new forum logo just now, does anyone see a resemblance to the Buzzbombers in Sonic The Hedgehog 2? lol... would be nice if they to feature & were that good in the new Sonic game coming out.

Totally agree on Red Alert! Frank Klepacki is an awesome composer.
Rings Of Power on the Sega Mega Drive has something of an unforgettable soundtrack for me, but there are many others;
Sonic 1/2/+Knuckles
Sword Of Vermillion
The Lost World: Jurrasic Park
Lotus II RECS
Edit: Whoops! And VIRTUA RACING, how could I forget this..

Some shit that kinda reminds me of 1991 Prodigy is the soundtrack to Streets of Rage 3 also back in the Sega Genesis days.

Ascendancy - brilliant alien music, been thinking about making a cover of that soundtrack.
Also the amiga games i grew up with: pinball illusions, pinball dreams, pinball fantasies, superfrog.
haven't heard the soundtrack amon tobin made for splinter cell: chaos theory, but i'd expect it to be awesome.

I uploaded 3 Amon Tobin albums (Includes Splinter Cell : Chaos Theory OST) to the old forum and the link still works so enjoy.
