Of course, they are OK with it.. This is happening with every single released album all ove the world. Nobody can do anything nowadays. Have you heard some band making a statement bout a leak..2 weaks before the official release of the album. I can´t see a problem, when you have preordered the album, how i have made. Why not listen the tracks 2 weeks before my boxcet is at home ?

it would not look good for the bands image if they complained about the album leaking 2 weeks before the release date, its happening to every other band plus the fact we are in a recession with people losing jobs and homes.
Remember they are doing it cause they love playing live and making great music, they know all the fans who can afford it will buy/preorder the album, maybe they have seen the figures for the preorders and are very happy with the results!

i think the leak might make more people buy it to be honest.
feedback has been pretty positive across the board, most people were turned off by AONO and this album has restored their faith.
and i'm not just talking about BK/Neko boards.
a major NIN fan forum is raving about this album.

a major NIN fan forum is raving about this album. I have maybe five to seven people on a Kanye West forum lovin it. I even mentioned it to a producer who works for Shady Aftermath and is in the studio with Dr. Dre pretty much every day as he creates Detox. He was going to give it a listen and probably mention it to Dre. (Im trying to hook the two up, talk about a dream collab) I agree I think the leak is going to help bring in more album sales as people can't deny this album's brilliance.

Oh come on they're not fucking stupid. They knew it would leak eventually. 2 weeks prior to release really isn't that bad.
Plus the majority of people who downloaded this album (excluding ourselves aka the prodigy faithful) wouldn't have fucking baught the album anyway would they?
Think about it. The majority of people who lurk around torrent and blog sites never fucking buy music, they just download it. How many people that DL'd this leak from those type of sites were ever going to pay for it anyway?

To be honest it was their own fault. They took a gamble on sending out promo copies of the album.
I remember listening to chris evans on the radio a couple of weeks ago. He went to listen to U2's new album in London somewhere where they told him there was only 1 solitary copy in the whole country.
If you don't want an album to leak that seems like a pretty good plan.

Nobody makes money off records anymore... It's all about generating cash from other markets..live shows and merchendise and licensing deals.
The band have realised this and even stated something along these lines...It's as if the Album is an advert for the live show.

U2 is shit. they don't count. I got a fucking bono in my pants; for Liam.
Im sure they won't make any note of a leak. they're gonna get mega paid for there massive touring and that's what counts. Im sure their pre-orders have been very healthy anyways.
