Aight so on the first listen Big gun down is probably my favourite, followed by black smoke, wild west then fighter beat.
What a great dance track comanche is! Went to make a cup of tea started doing that indian dance you did when you were a kid...... You all know the one haha.

Highvoltage wrote: weirdo wrote: it was different back then then now. get over it That doesn't justify a boring track to me. And i already got over it in about half an hour, cause i simply don't listen to it. on the other hand im still inspired by some of the beats, but mostly the production. (which is also rather lame compared to his previous works. i mean IMD - the track, wow its some fucking shitty mixing. not to mention Warriors Dance)
i think the album is not meant to sounds as layered and perfectionist as FOTL. they stept off that mode of production after BGAT. From AONO onwards productions are less perfect, and it is a sound that you can either respect or not.
also dont forget that back then they where absolutely groundbraking in dance in comparisement with everything around them. it was something not heard before. over time the bar has been set higher (by themselves mostly)

Well the Lost Beats isn't what I expected but now I'm glad. Seems to me like the whole EP is Liam tribute to spaghetti westerns like what his score for one would sound like if one where made today. I love spaghetti westerns so to me this EP's like a dream come true. I'm gathering different songs that give me that feel as to what a modern western should sound like these tunes along with The Chemical Brother's "Swiper" Audio Bullys "Face in the Clouds" and Lo Fidelity Allstars "The All, The All" are some that give me that feeling. To me these tunes are just what the genre needs to reinvent itself and became refreshed in the eyes of the pubic again just like Ennio Morricone's score for "Fistful of Dollars" did back in 64.

lol, will this ever end ?
i'm sick of begging and reminding about old tunes with every next opportunity ..... can't u simply assimilate and enjoy new songs ? he gives us tons of new brillant shit, but many of u keep moaning and moaning about these antiques.....can't u let it go away? it's not a discotheque where u give requests to the DJ .....
