Yea, seems they made IMD to make money, and make the material(vids, clothes...etc) as cheap as possible.

As much as I love that Prodigy are putting all this stuff out I can't help thinking that some of this goes against the bands ethics, or at least what I percieved their ethics to be. I can't speak for everyone else. The expensive art prints were pushing it, but ok they had to pay the artist. This though, I mean come on, £50 would have been pricey but this is rape...
I didn't think Prodigy was about the money or discriminating against a large portion of their fan base (we are in a recession after all). I thought it was about the best beats and merchandise everyone could enjoy. Yes Liam has given us what we (well me anyway) wanted (Mescaline) and I thank you for this, I'm eternally grateful. However when things like this book happens don't they realise that what us fans really care most about most of all is the music, that's what we want more of. If this book had a nice CD full or rarities with it, and it was priced half of what it is we would all be jumping for joy...
Now I'm at a loss for what to do. I do really want this book, but it's a total rip off. Yes I have bought a more expensive book before, I bought a book by the artist Mark Ryden called Anima Mundi (also limited edition) for £350, but those hold their value and will only go up. With this I just don't know what to do, it's so tempting but so wrong...

I'm fucked off with this shit, to be honest this album has been milked for all its worth.
I am still considering it, just like the rare ant prints, but the price is crazy. Although £100 isn't even a night out, it feels like exploitation.
I hope it might get discounted in the future, I say this as little art book offered me a discount of 20% if i made 5 purchases or gathered that many from other fans. Also the stuart semple art is due this month....what to do?

What's the betting that some rich bastard's gonna buy a whole ton of these books and sell them for even more on ebay for years to come...

Well, £99 is a lot for the book itself, it's true. But what I find really abusive is the price for the postage. £40 for France !!! Last time I ordered on of the art poster and the postage was too expensive. The worst is that I ordered the tour programm at the same time and it was roll in the tube. When I pay £40 for something I hope it will come in perfect condition...
Prodigy merchandise is really too expensive in my mind but it's also another way to earn money without buying cd and this kind of stuff. Fans are fans after all, if they have the money to pay for stuff, they will.
I was about to order the book, when I saw the price I was disguted but thought "ok it's prodge", then I saw the shipping price and my mind said "damn no !!!". I will not order it for the moment...

I thought the limited edition Massive Attack Splitting The Atom vinyl for £20 was a lot (numbered to 1000), but that's cheap compared to this...

You reckon they will hold value??
I reckon most hardcore prodigy collectors are here on this forum or in the community, i think if anything they would decrease over time

That is quite possible, which is a large factor in my uncertainty regarding the purchase of this book. Then again the world is a big place and this can be bought by anyone who can afford it. Not many Japanese people are on here, but there's plenty of Japanese Prodigy fans, and that goes for other countries too, if you get what I mean...

This is the worst business decision they have made, they could placate the fans by lowering the price but there is no fucking way i would pay €160 for this shit.
Most of the pics are probably on their flickr page anyway. And i think i could manage by not paying that much for a few poxy autographs as well.
