I did email them about it. My order numbers fir the two times I tried ended in 750 and 751, but this other one that's confirmed to be on it's way is 752, so maybe they read it and just did another one themselves??? I have no idea... So stupid.

Mine arrived today.
445 / 999
No special drawings either.
Book is better protected as well to avoid making any marks from the post.

I finally got mine, number 485. Very nice, but no drawings and no envelope. I can't help thinking all the envelopes had gone before they finally got around to shipping mine out, so I'm gutted that their system fucked up my chance. Anyway it's undamaged so I can be thankful, and well it's a damn nice item...
Also, page 322 I think it was, Keith from the ditched Take Me To The Hospital video shoot?...

438/999 arrived today, too much bubble wrap on it haha, so it was well protected, but on the downside there's a huge scuff mark accross the front of the book and a dent at the front top side........ What dyou think I should do? It's obviously left the store in that condition as I doubt it wouldve got damaged like that in the post... Hmmmmm?

Ring them up and tell them it's damaged before it left the store and keep the box as proof. email them pictures if they want, but ask for a replacement. Too much money for damaged goods.
Mines #625 as well.

The way this is going there's going to be only a few hundred in the world that aren't damaged in any way, the rest will be sitting in a warehouse somewhere in the 'scrap returns' pile. As for being damaged before leaving the store, this happens more often than you'd think, sometimes we get stuff returned at my work that was clearly not fit for sale. Unfortunately the monkeys who work in packing don't give a toss if your package arrives in good condition or not as long as it leaves the warehouse on time.
Wonder if they'll have to do a second run and signing to make up the numbers for the damaged copies? Anyone who spends that much money is surely going to want an undamaged one so it might be worth them putting in the effort?

Thanks people I emailed complaining. I asked for a replacement. I wonder if another one I get will have drawings, 438 was just signatures, not that I'm complaining about that but still, this one scuff mark ok the front goes right from the top to the bottom. Ridiculous.

Its not to do with the packaging, its to do with the way the books have been stored and have been dealt with during the signing i reckon. for a guess the books would be taken direct from the box theyre shipped to the recrodstore in to the cardboard box thing they're shipped to the customers in, but because of them having to be signed it looks like its gone... box theyre shipped to the recordstore in, then all unboxed to be signed then put back into the box then unpacked into the cardboard box for the customers

well the book had two peices of card on it, one on the front, one on the back, and then it was wrapped in about two layers of bubble wrap and seloptaped up inside a box, it had a snug fit, so I don't know what packaging was like before, but it looked pretty safe and sturdy, so it looked good to me. The damage mustve been done before packaging. Sucks. Wonder how long I'll have to wait for a responce. Monday probably...

I finally decided I will not buy it. Perhaps one day I will have to spend much more for undamaged copy but right now... for 140 pounds I could fly forth and back to some UK gig... Too much money for something that may arrive damaged.
