I remember reading in the 'Electronic Punks' book that he also missed a gig due to illness in the US in 92 and Leeroy had to improvise as an MC.

so far we have mostly only hypothesis here so i don't think the thread is killed.
the only fact we got known yet, thanks to evans, is, name of substituting Maxim Mc Ruff
http://www.discogs.com/artist/MC+Ruff

still no info why Maxim wasn't there

i have one hypothesis as well: we remember the situation described in Electronic Punks, when in 1992 Maxim lost his voice of sickness and the one who had to improvise as an MC was Leeroy.
but this time in 1995, was different, coz they had a completely out-of-band guy on the stage. and as i reckon also a good MC.
so my hypothesis is: maybe prodges knew Maxim couldn't did that show, since some time before, and in advance they asked MC Ruff to do the job for them.
otherwise it'd had to be a real coincidence, that in Paris they found, all of sudden, a proffesional MC, by the way a resident of Labyrinth club in England

MC Ruff was probably already on tour with them. I'm sure there was other UK bands supporting that he was working with and the band asked him to fill in as Maxim couldn't make it.

yes, mc ruff was their friend and they were on tour together, maxim was sick ans they asked ruff to replace him.

man i typed 'the prodigy live in paris 95' using search option, and i got 209 pages with matching answers.
so YEA it is a little problem to find it. anyway i'm sorry you got annoyed becos someone is asking some questions :)

for my alibi to not being blamed of duplicating threads: as i noticed not only me, but also several other members, including the one with the bigger number of posts, and including some already signed in 2006, weren't aware this topic already existed.

The trick is to read the instructions for 'search'. Use keywords ie. Maxim AND Paris, Go for topics rather than posts, da-na!! simples.
