It was the best game of the world cup so far. With the emotion riding on it as well it was a fantastic spectacle. In the end the English were poxed. Unlucky with the disallowed goal but I have to say it showed how limited Capello is tactically against strong opposition. He can beat teams like Japan and Croatia all he wants. England have too many egos.
End of the day. England = Man City. A wealth of talent but fuck all to show for it.

Think we would have won or drew if that goal was allowed.
I'm guessing here but I think all of Englands hope went when it was disallowed
Better luck next time England

Germany played very well against us and I never thought we would beat them anyways, so congrats to them! We had a few good chances to try and score and they ended up being blasted off target or straight at their keeper, and for those who say it shouldve been 4-2, the ball was clearly not over the line.

+1
No offence for the English but the national team sucks, everyone saw it coming against Germany since they suffered to get a draw against Algeria and USA.
The whole team needs to be changed and the first one is Emile Heskey...god he sucks so much its unbelievable i could even play better than him and the defence was so weak and slow, thank god it didnt end 2-1 or 3-1 so they wouldnt be moaning about Lampard's goal.

I seriously reckon the English football team should come home to be HUNG for being such a fuckin disgrace! 3 goals in 4 games?! They've been nearly as bad as France and Italy!

I think they all just bottled it under the pressure. The English media were fucking ridiculous, most of the English fans I spoke to hated that almost as much as us Scottish fans did. The whole thing was an utter embarrassment as far as I am concerned.
Saying that though they are experienced professional football players who are used to playing at the top level, well most of them at least. Capello didn't adapt his tactics enough and stayed stubborn to his tried and tested tactics. One of the main things that pisses me off about International football though, it's something I just can't get my head around:
Why the hell can you have a foreign manager? It makes no sense at all to me. Capello is a glaring example, he can hardly speak any English for fuck sake. His team talks must have been atrocious. I can accept that perhaps the smaller countries may need one if there is a shortage! National pride must be an absolutely massive driving force if you are playing. I can imagine no greater incentive than playing for your country. Having a foreign guy tell you what to do completely contradicts that idea and in my opinion gives teams with such a problem a massive disadvantage.
The Ironic thing is that it's the English FA's swaggering attitude that creates that problem. "we must get the best manager possible regardless of anything else." I just can't see past that, it seems like a complete dip shit way of thinking. Clearly it paid off though, for everyone who isn't English at least. So keep up the good work English FA! You're doing alright in my books

Steve McClaren was coach before Capello right? Did that helped in having great national pride which is a massive driving force and England played good? I think it didn't

It's obvious that Capello did not know how to use the guys' potential - the tactics and the selection were so bad...
anyway now I'm just going to enjoy the games -I really like the Portuguese and Japanese teams and yeah I hope Argentina beat Deutschland- no offense Germans I just prefer the South American style plus I'm still pissed about the match against you
