Used to love Danny Byrd after his 'Supersized' album, though I feel this one is a bit of a step down in quality, regardless of my love for the rave era and the record label it's signed on. I really wish he didn't have to get into autotune too, as that's the main thing I hate in pop music atm. It's an effect that can sound good if done properly (like for Daft Punk), but it's become such a cliché in music nowadays and it's seriously overused.
Don't get me wrong; some of the tracks on Rave Digger are great. But there's no Shock Out, From Bath With Love or Soul Functions in sight... and my expectations were paramount considering how I believe Supersized is one of the greatest drum and bass albums ever made.
