almost did not have sziget this year because of the fee they wanted to charge the organizers...tickets were the same price as last year until about a month ago...now they are about 30 euros more...i am talking the whole festival tickets not day tix...paid roughly 140 euro per for all six days

tickets are really to expensive for some years, but i guess its mostly due to foreigners. u know, "rich" people come here... in 09 most of the crowd were not even hungarian. if i remember correcly more than 50 percent of the people there were from everywhere but hungary.
but as myself i dont really care. i only go to sziget (or volt) when the prodigy comes, so even a daily ticket would be 20000 i would buy one.

it was a joke when they said they got prodigy again like it was a boring thing...the promoters are glad to get the band especially last minute like this and they are the most requested band at sziget and they are the main act
the english page...below...does not have the detail of the hungarian page...excerpt below
Quote: One of the most successful and coolest electronic music acts of the past twenty years, The Prodigy is playing on the Main Stage of Sziget Festival again. No need to tell you anything else, a great show is guaranteed, so just make sure you arrive in time to get your place in the crowd.

no cash at sziget either...you must use the fesztivalcard..
Code: http://sziget.hu/festival_english/info/festivalcard#what_can_i_buy
Quote: Yes, Festivalcard is the only valid currency at Budai Gourmet, VOLT, Heineken Balaton Sound and Sziget festivals. Merchants are not going to accept cash. The last point where you can still pay in cash the ticket sales points.
