I have watched a marathon of movies, and guess what? I found consistency in three movies, Prodigy related;

Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007) & Paul (2011).

The first one contains the original Ghost Town by The Specials, remixed by The Prodigy as we all know. It's found in the intro of the movie. The second movie contains a short part of Fire by Arthur Brown, used in Prodigy's Fire. It's halfway through the movie around 51 minutes in, when a car passes in slowmotion. The last movie, Paul, contains I Chase the Devil by Max Romeo & The Upsetters, which is the big big sample in Out of Space. The music is found in the trailer, but I haven't noticed in the actual movie.

It seems that Simon Pegg, whom wrote all the three movies, and it also seems that Chris Dickens edited all three movies. According to IMDB he's also responsible for the sound department. I don't believe it's a conincidence that exactly these three tracks were used, because that would be extremely unlikely. :lol:

I guess that the music whas chosen because all three movies are British and probably need some typical British music, but in a more original, sophisticated way. Hence; the original Prodigy samples. 8-)

(Personally I guess he might be just as crazy about the Prodigy than many of us here. :wink: )

Has anyone seen more British movies edited by him? By the way, he also edited Slumdog Millionaire, and won an Academy and BAFTA Award for his work. I guess he really knows his shit. :-D I'm curious if Simon Pegg will write another British comedy that will be edited by Chris Dickens. I'm pretty sure they will use another typical Prodigy sample. :wink:

Any thoughts?
