Thanks guys!
You are the best :)

Getting some love at metalectro-music.com...

"Next i have some fresh blood coming on and let me tell you that this one is really rocking and really damn tasty fresh blood and a great freebie too from the NYC based Neorev! Electro indie punk rock kind of feel to it, with the great vocals by It Was July really giving the track a really nice character. I loved it since the very first second i pressed play and i have listened to it a few times since then so i had to post this one and hopefully you will all like it as much as i did."

A glowing review of the NO CONTROL EP by Chuck Foster from The Big Takeover...

Image

Neorev’s Michael Matteo is one tireless individual. Now on the fourth EP generated from his Children of the Bomb franchise, Matteo delivers yet another superb collection of remixes, reboots and brand new tracks guaranteed to drive all cyber knights out of their coffins and into the glowing neon sprawl.

The title track, which first appeared on Neorev’s “Wildfire” EP, finds new life here as a vocal track featuring lyrics written and performed by Susan Morris, aka It Was July, giving the track an Icona Pop vibe. Some exclusive originals follow: the Superstar DJ Keoki-esque ride of “Riptide,” the insistent pulse’n‘thump rave-up of “Vapor Trail,” “Demon Inside”‘s old school jungle/drum’n‘bass whirlwind and the hip-hop/dubstep attack of “Monetary Policy,” which features some heady rapping from Centri. A slew of remixes of the vocal version of “No Control” appear (the frantic industrial drum’n‘bass mix by Noise Generator stands out), as well as a slightly longer version of the original instrumental. Two additional remixes of Neorev favorites “Basshead” and “Proper Funkage” appear to round out the release.

When it comes to electronic dance music, Neorev is really at the top of his game, begging the question, why is he not the hottest producer since Diplo assigned with the task of crafting Top 40 hits to be used in mega-corporate commercials? Who cares? His music stands on its own and is miles ahead of the pop drivel pumped on the radio these days, so jack-in to Neorev’s virtual reality where we all celebrate being children of the bomb.

-Chuck Foster

ah its a good thing mate. fair play to you. that title track is worthy of anyones attention, we are all going for a bite of the same, fairly small pie. much like myself, you are trying to do this the old fashioned way; building a solid fanbase by gigging, tireless promotion and various collaborations and putting out consistent, solid work. (the consistent thing applies far more to you than myself, I take way too long between records as im my own worst critic)

You deserve more recognition. I have seen your name on the net for as long as i can remember being active on the Prodigy forums (almost 10 years now!) and its consistently improving with each release. I love the fact that your stuff always has good remixes on there too, ive also always been a fan of Aquilas work, (i remember his remake of Death of the Prodigy Dancers which was so good, liam magically 'found' his old demo tape with it on, strange that!). I think you do a good job of catering your releases to as many new and old listeners as possible. The crossover appeal with remixes is something i havent personally exploited myself. I might try and rectify that with my new material.

keep going mate, id love to be involved in your next record some how and likewise you on mine. whether that be a collaboration or a remix. im working on new material right now that im really enjoying. hoping for a release in the next 2-3 months. let me know if you want to do something, i think it would be pretty cool to say the least.

Well I appreciate the kind words and support, brother :)
It took a long time to get where I am at and it will keep taking work to keep growing.
I started producing in 1999, so it was a pretty long process.
Crank This Shit Up was the NR debut right here on BK in 2003 and I didn't put out an "official" release til 2009 with Lines & Shapes.
But I felt I hit my stride during the last couple of years.
No matter what, don't let anyone get you down doing your thing is one thing I've learned.
Play as many shows as you can, use every outlet you can to promote your work, and network with other producers.
I always loved the old days when singles/EPs were packed to the brim with extra tracks and remixes, which is what I try to emulate.
I like to keep a nice variety style-wise and always looking to support fellow producers.
I'd love to work on something together... collab, remix, whatever man, I'm game :)
I really dug your last release SUNSET, especially Inflikted, and that new track with the video is killer.
Hell I'd even give it a go at remixing.
It makes me feel better when I hear people find each release to be better than the last because it shows that I'm always improving.
I try to not repeating myself and each album era has been different when it came to the vibe.
Who knows what the next album is gonna sound like... I still don't even know myself.
I always hunt down new music, literally, all the time I am downloading music and like to keep my ears open.
The more variety of music, the better it is when it comes to developing your own style.
I know that I wanna completely flip it up on the next one.
Lines & Shapes was my homage to old skool warehouse rave and dance scene while Children Of The Bomb was my take on the current bass music culture.
I think I wanna go much more experimental this time around and not focus on the dancefloor as much... something more for at home listening and fucking with your headspace.
Plus I wanna collab and work with different people a lot more.
Working with vocalists has been a fun experience and helped push me musically into new territories.
That perfect vocal can completely switch up your approach to a track that you normally wouldn't have gone with.

and here's a taste of what's to come with the next release

SUBROX once again delivers a blistering remix, this time tackling NO CONTROL. This is the third in a trilogy of remixes from him and he just keeps getting better and better. You will be able to download this on the EP when it is available in May.

http://www.soundcloud.com/djsubrox/neor ... rol-subrox

me and Chris have been discussing the idea of us collaborating on a release. i think our individual styles complement each other nicely. we both love the aggressive side to electronic music.

the official NR Soundcloud page has hit 681 followers!
trying to get folks to spread this link ---> http://www.soundcloud.com/neorev
when we hit 700 followers, i plan on putting up my new breakbeat mix of WILDFIRE ahead of the EP.
