Just saw the video... Only version I've heard so far. Totally not what I was expecting. Which is good! I really like it. Saw some comments on YouTube where people were saying it sounds like Omen. To me it's the complete opposite of Omen. Doesn't sound commercial at all. Sounds dark, and is just hard. I can see a lot of people taking a big shit on this track though.... Because it's not immediately likable to the casual music fan.

I'm happy with it am very excited to hear the rest of the album!

I think it's good enough to keep me going until the album. It's hard to keep things fresh when you've been going nigh on 25 years! I would personally prefer more classic breakbeats and less of the 'recycled Omen' drums, but hey ho. It's funny how more of the casual, younger Prodigy followers on Twitter and YouTube are calling it "classic" Prodigy. It's a classic if you've only been listening since BGAT.

It's worth remembering that the tune chosen for single release is likely to be the one with most mass appeal in order to create maximum market for the rest of the album. The real treats for the longtime fans will be waiting for us on the album .. hopefully.

After IMD it's a very decent tune to kickstart the new album. Good one.

Omen IS a commercial catchy tune. This is definitely not.

after playing it about 50 times, getting the same result, and after a brief session of antiques roadshow, I've concluded that the track is very good indeed.

you may all stop posting your opinions now

What makes me really excited about this album is that the band choice "Nasty" as their most accessible tune with the most crossover appeal. This album is gonna be fucking dark and sinister compared to anything previously released. I can see what Liam means by going back to the darkness of Jilted rather than the poppier IMD.

that's a load of bull...
coming from a fellow musician, trust me, you need quality tune to move a crowd.

plus look at when The Prodigy first started playing after AONO was released... that Athens gig that was recorded... you even hear Maxim say something about losing the crowd when the tracks just weren't connecting in their original form.

Nej mate, I've been DJ'ing and playing with bands for years and you just know a certain crowd after a while. When they're tanked they don't need the sonic incarnation of the lord to make them go out of their tiny minds. I've been on both side regularly, I'm a festival nutter and out there you don't need 'the great tune' to let loose, you need a decent one and some things found in a ladies handbag, that's it.

In other words: Of course Nasty will move the crowd. Does that surprise us or make it a better track now? No, it doesn't.

Many artists have to come to this that they only have the hardcore fans.

Look at Tricky now - he's even dependent on collaboration album with Russian hiphoppers there days.....
