Worst album of 2015?!

Pure, unadulterated attention seeking. Don't flame him though, I'm not one of these people who will round on someone for their 'opinion' - I leave that to One Direction-type people.

But feel free to give him some genuinely constructive criticism of his 'review' if you feel the urge.

Well... Hating is very easy. It is more difficult to figure out what you actually like.
But yeah, people shouldn't spread criticism like manure.

We all know that if a person is too positive their meanings gets devalued.
The same thing goes for being too negative.

You have to be honest.
And you have to be respectful.
Otherwise your meanings will devaluate.

Is this what we've become? A society who have to be told what to like and what not to based on appeal to authority-type fallacy?

Surely what you like is based on your own values and you know what you like? Hence I knew on my first play-through which tracks were my standouts.

I do agree the balance has to be right, and honesty is key. But if honesty is priority, balance might not be right. Catch 22.

Reviews like that are pure click bait, fuck them. The bad reviewers want to out do themselves to who can give the wittiest put down of the album.

I quite enjoyed the 'old men yelling at trains' line though

To be honest, I'm glad pricks like this guy hate the album. It means Liam has done his job properly. I don't want someone like this to get this album. They are not supposed to. Music with edge will always divide the crowd.

^ haha.

Tbh. It's almost as if the new album was designed to be hated on by every single "trendy" fella on the planet, picking up inspiration from lots of "uncool" trashy fast, exciting music from around the world.

And it IS working.

No grades, just a few quick comments. .

TDIME - loved it from the get go, mostly because it is a beast and I don’t mind that it sounds like a stadium-track. The sawtooth bassline is up my alley and production reminds me of Gessafelstein.

Nasty - It’s a bit retarded, not a big fan. Cool midsection with the eagle/rise/break/whatever and thats about it.

Rebel Radio - It has potential, a bit overambitious at the same time, like he wanted to cram those elements in. I like it though, should have been the 1st single.

Ibiza - Audio Bully’s on speedball but I just dont find it interesting at all.

Destroy - very nice jam, a bit repetitive at times but it sounds like he’s having fun here, which is not that often anymore.

Wild Frontier - nein.

Rok-Weiler - pleasently surprised with this track, the whole evil granny vocal really does it for me and the beat sort of hints at drum and bass but never really goes entirely in that direction. When the bass drops it feel somehow empty though.

Beyond The Deathray - its really ambitious, has that Blade Runner feel but ends up in a loop of bullshit?

Rhythm Bomb - I kind of like it but and I get the whole “bang it till you drop dead” shtick but it gets annoying quickly. Good for gym practice though.

Roadblox - not bad, not someting I will continue to listen to.

Get Your Fight On - not doing anything really, sounds a bit forced. Cool drop but then it just gets weird. Plus, the whole TMTTH shtick sounds like a weird throwback.

Medicine - I like it a lot. For all I care, he could be rapping about spoons full of donkey poop, not that pissed of by a spoon full of sugar.

Invisible Sun - Love the beat and the guitars, the vocals kind of kill it though. Very massive attack-ish and Pitchfork-ish.

Wall of Death - a good album closer but nothing I’ll write home about.

Rise Of The Eagles - nein.

Very professional to say that.

Oh well, its like this in every release anyways. You either love or hate this band.

It's fine but it tries a lot and it fails.

Well after 10 plus listens here's my verdict.

TDIME- an instant classic for me -9

Nasty- a decent prodigy by the numbers song -7

Rebel Radio - I like it but can't help feel that it could have been so much more, it feels like its building to something that never quite takes off -7.5

Ibiza - Its weird because sometimes I like it and sometimes I get fed up of it. Its very silly sounding and the riff reminds me of Piranha! - 6

Destroy - This song sounds bad ass but is slightly too empty when the harsh sounding chords are playing, needs more imo - 8

Wild Frontier - Decent song, brilliant intro, a bit too repetitive though - 7

Rok-Weiler - Love this song, the riff is badass and the melodies used are beautiful. It does seem to lack power when it drops though - 8.5

Beyond The Deathray - This should have been made longer imo. Its crying out to be built upon - 6.5

Rhythm Bomb - I love love love the vocal sample and the second main riff. Like I've said in the Rhythm Bomb thread, its just too relentless, doesn't leave room to breathe, it kinda feels like 2 songs put together rather than one flowing song. I think a decent remix will sort this out - 7.5

Roadblox - This is a cool song with strong melodies and furious beats. Can see this being even better live - 8

Get Your Fight On - I've tried but I just can't take this song seriously. Its a poor mans TMTTH, which is a far far better song. It just seems half arsed and lazy imo - 5

Medicine - This is just awesomeness. Very catchy amd the beats are sick. This is an instant classic for me - 9

Invisible Sun - Cool eerie song, I like this alot, the vocals are catchy and its a nice change of pace - 8

Wall Of Death - Love how angry and hard hitting this track is. Possibly the heaviest song they've done and a ftting end to the album - 9

lol. Saying he cannot hear the similarity of omen and nasty while thinking wild frontier sounds like colours.
:')

That's like saying roadblox sounds like omen just cause it has a similar sound xD
