Despite how sad they’ll be, I really think Liam and Maxim will keep going. I don’t know how long it will take them to get back to it but Liam’s fire is still there and Maxim was on top of his game when I saw them in January.

Message at the official website

It is with deepest shock and sadness that we can confirm the death of our brother Keith Flint who sadly took his own life over the weekend.

We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.

I'm a big fan of Frasier. Someone got me the entire box set and just before I started watching, John Mahoney died of cancer complications. He was 77. I've never been able to watch an episode since.

If that's how bad I am following an elderly man who wasn't super famous, I fear my emotion over Prodigy and a 49 year old national icon who killed himself for reasons unknown.

God damn it. RIP.

Very sad news, I hope that at least he left a note for his familiy and friends to explain why he decided to go today. For the future of The Prodigy Liam and Maxim just need to do what feels right for them whatever that may be.

I've been following them since the early 90's, seeing Charly, Out of Space etc. on tv I was hooked and followed them ever since. Love the energy, the drive, the mayhem. Saw them live 17 times in the last 20 years. Exactly 10 years ago to the date absolute mayhem in de Melkweg in Amsterdam, such a small vlenue to see them, crazy night. My last gig only last December in Amsterdam. So many good memories, so many bruises :)

Dutch radio station 3FM is currently doing an hour long tribute to Keith.

As it seems from some interviews he did not look forward to 'resting' I'll say Rave in Peace Keith, thanks for all the mayhem and thanks all the memories.

RIP Keef

Last time i’ve seen him at untold 2018, I’ve catched a bottle from him, he drunk from it, closed and throwed it to the crowd.
He was an icon. We are all in this together now, be strong, support Liam and Maxim. Love to all Prodigy family.

Such a strange day. I was in work when I heard about Keith's death. I received an email from a good friend. I knew straight away that it was genuine, as this friend knows what a huge fan I am of the band. I am absolutely crushed to think that he died in these circumstances and am struggling to come to terms with it.

The Prodigy have been a huge part of my life since I bought Out of Space on cassette back in 1992. I idolised Keith and can remember me and a mate using school video equipment to try and re-enact their live act in a darkened school classroom with a strobe light. I tried to copy Keith's dancing and he was Leeroy. Needless to say, the video was shit but we had great fun making it and trying to copy our heroes.

I was so excited when the new album came out last year. I really thought it was their best since Fat of the Land and I was desperate to see them perform it live either in Ireland or abroad. I wanted to listen to it today but was literally too choked up to hear their music

I hope the sadness makes way soon. I associate The Prodigy and Keith with some of my best memories and their music has gotten me through so many challenges in life. I feel proud to see all the amazing tributes pouring in for Keith. Fans of the band will know there was a lot more to him than just the band. Truly one of the greatest front men of all time. An inspiration and a legend. Thoughts are with Liam and Maxim, all his close friends and family. We all feel this loss. It is immense, heartbreaking and numbing but out of the ashes his spirit will soar. Rip Flinty. Always outnumbered. Never outgunned

Haven't been here in a looong, time, I was surprised my account still worked...

Just had to come and say, I'm stunned, gutted, confused. Keith touched so many lives, more than he possibly could have ever imagined. We will never know or understand why, RIP Keith.

Like many of you I found out this news at work and had a hard time finishing. March is officially the worst month for me. Yesterday was my birthday but now I can only equate March to the death of my mom in March 2015 and now the death of legend Keith Flint of my favorite band since I found out about them in 2009. Even more crazy is the only time I saw the Prodigy live was in Salt Lake City UT when they were supporting my second favorite band at the time Linkin Park which was also the only time I saw Linkin Park live. I never got to see The Prodigy proper with full on blasting sound and I knew that I was going to hate myself for not seeing them in Chicago in 2015 when I decided not to go out of fear of being too tired for work in the morning.

Still it's good to hear that people all across the world are paying tribute after the utter hatred and threats Keith was getting for riding with hunters or whatever that was all about. I live in the States so forgive me for not remembering what the whole fuss was about.

As for The Prodigy living on, probably not. Keith and Maxim covered their vocals live so Keith not being around wouldn't technically make a difference but he sang or screamed extra liners which added to the show. Also The Prodigy was a brotherhood. A family. Whether technically feasible or not, Maxim and Liam are likely not going to want to keep going. Liam said they'd only keep going as long as they "still had it" and he's also said time and time again he only writes music for the live show.

In the end, I know I've been calling for the removal of Run With the Wolves from the setlist for a long time now, but I'd rather buy tickets to see a set full of all their worst tracks than to see the band come to end or any member leave or pass away. Goodbye Keith :(
