This is from 2015. He prepared us for this. No mental illness. It's pointing to be the same case as Hunter S. Thompson's I meantioned earlier in the thread. Pure speculation. He recently split with his wife, don't you think that might have had an impact?

What we know for sure, however, is the fact that he was ready to do it, he told us he’ll do it, and he did it.

Well, i was thinking alot if wrote something or not, because words are empty now, meanless. Yesterday i was without them as im right now, only thoughts and music. 25 years of hipe, hopes, enjoy, dispoinments, see them live, hear their music, get a Liam authograph. But now, when Keith is no more, a pice of me die. WTF, this band changed my life. The Prodigy will never be the same. Wherever you go Flint, i hope they will like Firestarter as much as we like it here. RIP antwarrior

Thousads of pictures and posts several years back, but nohting about Keith or Prodigy. And she was Prodigy opening act few times too (as Dj Gedo Mega Bitch), but nothing about that either. And I think this was always good thing. No dramas, no scandals, not interfering in their privacy. Only music mattered for us. But now it will end for sure - everybody wants to know everythings and everyone ask "why". It's understandable for sure, but I don't find it reasonable.

“I’m not saving up for anything,” he says. “I’m cashing it all now. I’ve always had this thing inside me that, when I’m done, I’ll kill myself. I swear to God that’s not suicidal – it’s definitely a positive thing. The moment I start shitting the bed is when you’ll see me on the front of a bus.”
Then he smiles, rather sweetly, and adds, “I think I’m very generous of spirit with the people I love, but I can also be a very selfish person too. I’ve grown up knowing nobody is going to look after me, so if I don’t, who is? I’m not frightened of who I am; I just want to look back and know that I’ve lived what I consider a fulfilled life. That’s all. Happy days.” Wow. Thanks for sharing this interview. As shocked as I still am, I also want to understand. This could've been a glimpse of what he was processing in his mind. Whatever the reasons were, I somehow find some calm in this.

Later she started crying. she felt guilty because of reacting the way she did, not initially thinking about how Keith's wife would feel or how Liam & Maxim are doing. It's a sad day. . I don't think this is out of order. I keep thinking about this shit all the time. It might not be the most important thing right now, but everyone who loves going to concerts as much as we all do, will feel gutted to not be able to see them one more time. Since I saw them for the first time, I felt like I lived my life from one gig to another, and now it's likely all gone, man... this makes it even harder to process... I feel like a close family member has gone. Especially when I couldn't count on some of my close family members, while The Prodigy and their music helped me go through some of the toughest moments in my life, and were always there for me. Now I'm just pissed beyond belief, reading all the stuff here, on Facebook, everywhere... I can't put myself to think of anything else... I feel almost guilty for this, when it's obvious now his life was just painful, while all we wanted was to go to their gigs, keep having fun... I'd never think this lifestyle puts so much psychological pressure. (If that was the reason for his pain. We'll never know.) But let's not forget one thing. We've got an amazing community here. Don't be too worried about the future... when all gigs stop, when there's no new The Prodigy albums ever again, we need to keep this legendary band and its legacy. We'll spread this music to everyone else just like we always did, we'll go to Prodigy parties (if there are any in your area), we'll find other ways, I dunno, maybe a new music from the jilted generation release some day. Let's stay strong, and together. Rest in peace, warrior.

piling on the above post, I agree. I was set to cover their set at Chicago Open Air. I was going to COVER. THE. PRODIGY!
I was going to be able to photograph my idols. I was going to report on their set. I was going to attempt to send in interview questions. And I'm being serious: I was going to take all of YOUR questions in a BK interviews the prodigy 2.0. And that shit is gone now. Two months before I was going to fulfill a dream come true.
That's all selfish bullshit and I admit it. But the truth of it is, this is indeed a part of me dying. Gone forever and never to be replaced.
It's ok to be selfish sometimes. We're just humans anyway, right?

Yes he said same thing 10 years ago and 5 years ago, that he will kill himself when he starts shitting himself. But his body clearly wasn't giving up on him yet. I had a friend who was saying same thing in high school. He laughed at this after he started a family. Keith could have been "prepared", because it was distant. People change their minds all the time. Pure speculation, as Cabalist said. And whatever he said 10 years ago when he was at his worst is irrelevant because he cleary got back to great state.
