Hehe, made my 0£ donation, it'll be ready for me on the 10th.

I think the album will be very good.

edit: I suppose, lancha, you don't realise it's a free download?

Crap is probably not the word, (I'd had a few) For me they have gone a bit like Oasis as in the first few albums were great and then just churning out boring dross, could just be me not getting it I suppose but that's the way it is.

Well I knew you paid whatever you want to for the download, but I thought that meant you had to pay SOMETHING. I dunno. I'm pretending to be broke because I need to save money, so whoever gets the album, throw it up on the boards, and ill buy it eventually.

Alot of bands do this. It's simply because after they release their masterpiece (in Radiohead's case, OK Computer), everything after that is compared to it. And if its not as good as the masterpiece, people will be disappointed and think that the band have "lost it".

I've heard some of the new Radiohead tunes - Videotape, 15 Step, and Arpeggi are all ace!

I am Radiohead fan from their early days and Kid A and Amnesiac were real surprises to me. I remember some of my mates did not dig these records but I myslef think that although they took such a different direction in their music, they were still interesting and on top. Kid A and Amnesiac really impressed me and had big influence on me. But I dunno - OK Computer is still their top record I guess.

So lancha, how the new tunes sound like? I mean are they similar to their early guitar-based stuff or more electronic?

well, a mix of both. Some of them are instant classics, but I guess the easiest way to describe them is to show you them.

heres my favorite: Videotape

2 different versions...one with Thom on piano solo, and one with full band:

---

here another current favorite: Arpeggi

---

Down Is The New Up
again first is Thom solo, 2nd one is full band

15 Step

Im as excited for this album the same way im excited for the new prodigy LP.

How could u say that it would be crap? :P

Radiohead are the biggest band in the UK, plus theyre the most consistent Band ive ever seen, alot of their albums like OK Computer/Kid A/The Bends all the songs on them are 10/10

Radiohead are special in a way....i dunno how to say it but u cant find any band out there who are like them, with the exception of muse and coldplay who try their best tp rip them off but them fail misereably.

Ive ordered the album and payed $8 for it, im a fan i should appreciate what im getting.

Besides if everyone thinks that the box set is expensive then theres no need to buy it, cos they are finalising a record deal and the cd would be out in shops early 08.

This move they did is going to revolutionise music, they have this ''confidence'' with their fans, it takes a lot of courage to do a move like the one they did, im too excited :D

tracks im looking forward the most:

down is the new up, videotape, all i need, 15 step, jigsaw falling into place (aka Open Pick), and Arpeggi.

Yes, nude is also amazing, its a track theyve been writing since 1997 and they finally decided to release it on in rainbows, even thought earlier versions sounded different.
