Where as it will be good to get the unreleased tracks I think this looks like a bit of a missed opportunity. They should have put the full length version of 'The Heat (The Energy)' on it. They should also have included the original 12" versions of 'One Love' and 'Full Throttle' (without the reverse sample). It may not fit one one CD but who cares? Put the 'Narcotic Suite' on CD 2. 'We Eat Rhythm' and the 2005 live version of 'No Good (Start The Dance)' would also have been good. I agree about the levels. If you put on Poison 95EQ from the original single and listen after Their Law reissue you can totally hear the difference. I find Jilted does sound a bit flat these days compared to the newer stuff, so I'm really glad it's getting the remastered treatment. I'm actually really happy with the track selections. I hear what you're saying about putting those other versions on, but then you'd have some ppl that would say you're changing the original release (even though we all know the story behind it). Personally, I'd rather listen to Jilted the whole way through the way it is instead of having to swich CDs to listen to the whole thing. I'm actually really impressed with the CD2 selections. They're a hell of a lot better than what we got on Their Law CD2. |

The thing is, 'The Heat (The Energy)' was only edited so it would fit on the CD (CDs fit 80 minutes these days but in 1994 the maximum was 74 minutes). It's not like the track was originally conceived as that length. The reverse of the Star Wars / UMCs sample may still be needed for copyright reasons but 'Full Throttle' is still slightly shortened. 'One Love' 12" version would just be a nice to have. 'We Eat Rhythm' could have gone on CD 2. Like I said, it's good but it could have been great with a little effort. |

I think I still haven't realised how good this release actually is...
It's my favourite music album ever... And it's the same way it is, but better sounding 
For me the only interesting track on CD 2 is the B&E 2005 version tho |

So, can you tell me why my original copy of Jilted Generation clocks at 78:xx minutes if that was not possible at that period?

Because I was trying to remember the maximum CD length of a 1994 era CD off the top of my head. 78 minutes was the maximum. Some early cd players could not play beyond the original standard, which was 74 min 33 sec. |

Gabba, now that is a good question. One of the best unreleased Prodigy tracks of all time. Ah well, maybe some other day it will get released. Who knows how far XL will milk things over the future years...
Or if Liam ever decides to release some of his old tracks...

Was Gabba played live before Firestarter? ...the debut of Firestarter started the FotL era, not the album release. Just as the debut of the new tracks last weekend started the new era. Anyways...who needs a studio version of Gabba? Bring on We Eat Rhythm!

We Eat Rhythm (jungle remix) is probably in my top 2 favorite songs, ever...
I think partly because the recordings Ive heard of it all sound very lo-fi and rough. I would like to hear a remastered, remix though....that wicked. |

IT'S GREAT NEWS, Yeah!
BUT if its out in august, when do we hear new LP????? 
i believe Liam has told about this project bein interviewed by Thomas from Streamblenda, a year ago or later.. Thomas asked him about hyped live tracks like B&E and it was like :"good idea for some project..." i dont remember well and i see everybody forget it too  check the interview!!
i dont really think the whole project as a hoax, it would be just stupid! Its Liam remastering his tunes and tweaking them noone else. but there are money & business too - if its out in august, the new album might be out late September or even October
