I hope Jay-Z's remix won't be utter shit!

I read somewhere that Scooter was very inspired by The Prodigy when they started and they wanted to make music like them but ended up doing what they do.

How so? Cos they use the same drum sounds? The beat isn't even arranged in the same way!
Both track samples Billy Squier's Big Beat.
Saying that spitfire is a 99 problems rip off is like saying poison is an atr rip off because they both use the amen brother drum loop.
Get the fuck out of here!

Its nothing great, just the SMBU drum beat followed by a 10 second sample of the actual song.

Frankly not worth it. It's about ten seconds long. All he used was a short section of the drum loop, the snarly sounding 'wow wow wow' bit just before the vocal breakdown and one 'Smack My Bitch Up' vocal sample. Then it goes into Rehab with him rapping over the top.
A bit pathetic really.

I hate the way they said 'cover'.
How the fuck is that a cover?! Hiphop is based on samples, he just used a small part of a song and had some live drums over it lol.
Beastie Boys do the same kinda thing with Mixmaster Mike when playing live.
Cheers for the rip Cogglesz.

i think is nice, not complaining at all.i think is great that the prodigy are known by jay-z and that they are sampled.this only shows that they are classics and people respect them.and i prefer jay-z doing this, instead of 50cent or akon or some other prick.
by the way i like jay's pants
