I love Justice. but i would not like Prodigy be influenced too much of it.

In 17 years of listening and supporting prodigy i dont think i have ever been quite so dissapointed.

Weirdoo as u know liams work has always evolved straight rave (experiance) to tekno/rock(jilted) to electro/punk(fotl) to grimey/tekno (aono) but there has been a constant incredible production and ground shattering speaker blowing beats n bass.Now imd in my opinion is weak.If u look at the openers of previous albums where does IMD stand


Jerico : epic
Break and enter : one the best electronic tunes ever written
Smack my bitch up : balls out rock
Spitfire : incredible

Now I know its one song but for fxcks sake this is the prodigy we are talking bout its so so so so much like pendulum no argument when i first heard it i thought it might be a piss take.I WILL say it is growin on me but the drum programmin is so weak there is no defence no defence.I would go as far to say that it will be reworked for the album the beat and the main synth hook are way way way too weak.

I dont give up hope I think the whole concept of this album is cool and i believe he will come good but i do think the first tune on an album is so important so for me this is just not good enough.

This tune sounds fuck all like justice? What the fuck? Honestly I'm bemused! Has anyone ever heard D.A.N.C.E. before? Fuck me..... I really don;t get Justice at all. Their albumn just bores me to death! Is this song boring? No!

A lot of people are over analyzing the track. You either like it or not. I don't like it at all- I think it's too soft, simple, short, no vocals, nothing special. But I won't make any conclusions about the sound of the rest of the album.


And who the fuck is justice? I feel bad when people start comparing them with the prodigy because I just cant see anything in their music. Saying that the album will be influenced by them is wrong. It's just that IMD is a weak song(for me) and I'll keep my fingers crossed the rest of the album is as good as Warriors Dance and Word's on Fire.

All this comparison to Justice and Pendulum is bollocks. Ive listened to this track now a good few times. left it for about 2 hours, listened to it again just now ... and "WOW" I think its a really good track, dunno about all these people not liking it ... there opinion I know! there entitled to it ...

but come on ... don't ya get it? It is going to sound a little bit like Justice and Pendulum, but its The Prodigy!? There is only a few decent electronic artists out there today, justice and Pendulum are among them (I personally feel) but there is sooo much trash out there!... A lot of them all trying the hardest to sound like the Prodigy. Let me tell you ... No Chance!


I think that this track is like a wake up call to the rest of all those so called electronic artists and that. The Prodigy are back on form!! It like saying " check this out, have a load of this!!" its in your face, rocking beats and catchy riffs, short vocals that are telling you that "Invaders Must Die"... Its Brilliant!! It grabs your attention and keeps you hooked. Prodigy are here and Back on Top!! Is all part of the plan .... Opening track to the album ... It just works!! Lets hope the rest of the tracks make this new album an outstanding one. I gotta a feeling that Liam and co onto a winner with this one!!

don't get me wrong its not like ripping Justice or pendulum or anything like that... its influenced by it ??? don't you think? But all in all its the Prodigy! Creating interesting stuff Its not like there getting boring like some other artists out there .... every time its something interesting .. I think anyhow!!? My opinion and all ... Ha

yeah but maybe liam intended to give the pendulum sound to the track + the invaders must die and we are the prodigy sample just to make fun of them.think about the track like that.
and like someone already said prodigy didn't lost it,if you would have listened the tracks played this summer you would know that.

Personally I thought IMD had a little influence by another artist than the ones mentioned on this forum. But that doesn't matter. This is Prodigy! This is not anything but Prodigy! Fierce beats and catchy riffs. All in all a blend of power... AND modern sounding! For me this is a drop of freshness.

I do agree tunes we have heard so so fuckin good i am just sooo dissapointed with this opener the beats man are weak its so dissapointing the analouge intro that we heard at club shows is cool the vocal samples are cool its just the main synth lead and the beats fuck me they are weak

i don't think liam wrote the track to make fun of justice or pendulum.
i miss those pounding prodigy beats.

Yo guys! I wrote my view on this Justice/Pendulum issue. I just didn't know there already was a topic dedicated to it.
